“How’d I Get Here from There?”
Growing up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Dani excelled at reading, writing and “talking too much” in class. Fortunately, her 7th grade drama teacher found a way to help channel her love for “language arts” appropriately on stage, casting her as the lead in productions of “Sorry, Wrong Number,” “Father Knows Best” and others. Dani loved being on stage, telling stories and losing herself in the role.
Throughout high school and college, she continued to pursue her “gift of gab” earning her Bachelor Degree in Communications/Broadcast from Western Washington University.
Taking the Road Less Traveled
After graduation and a brief stint as a Media Buyer for McCann Erickson, Dani set off to discover roads less traveled. She spent the next three years living in China and teaching English at Chengdu University of Science and Technology, and Sichuan Teachers College. While in China, Dani put her acting skills back to work starring in an 8-part mini-series called, “The Queen of the Golden Triangle” (which thankfully was never released for distribution in US markets!)
Upon returning to the US, Dani settled into her “second career” in corporate marketing. Over the next several years, she wrote and produced marketing and advertising content for food and beverage, financial services and high tech companies.
Fast-Forward to the “Good Part”
After being laid-off from her corporate marketing job, Dani decided to pursue voice acting full time. With unemployment as a cushion, she dove in head first into her current career. And, as serendipity would have it, the week that her unemployment benefits ended, Dani received her first “big check” for voice acting… and has never looked back!
With nearly 15 years in corporate marketing before dipping her toes into the VO waters, Dani brings both business smarts and marketing expertise to every audition, job and client interaction.
Let Dani bring her unique experience and “gift of gab” to your next project!
